How qualification works in Wyoming
Wyoming's POST rules (Chapter 2 through Chapter 13, confirmed via a direct read of the Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission's full administrative code) were not found to establish a routine, universal annual firearms-qualification mandate for currently employed officers. The "WLEA firearms qualification course" referenced in POST rules is used specifically in the re-entry/challenge-examination process for officers returning to Wyoming law enforcement after a gap in service or certified in another state — not as a documented, standalone annual requirement applicable to every active officer (and Chapter 12's retiree-ID-card provision covers only photo identification, not firearms qualification).
