How qualification works in Oklahoma
Oklahoma has a real trap worth flagging clearly: CLEET's own "retired firearm permit" (Title 21 § 1289.8) is NOT a LEOSA-qualifying standard and explicitly does not satisfy LEOSA's annual-qualification requirement -- CLEET's own published guidance says so directly: "The retired firearms permit, since it does not require any firearm requalification, does not provide any benefit for a retired officer as far as federal LEOSA goes." That state permit requires only a fingerprint-based background check every 10 years, no shooting qualification at all. For actual LEOSA compliance, CLEET provides a pocket-card form the retiree takes to whoever administers their annual requalification -- there is no single CLEET-run statewide retiree qualification course.
