How qualification works in Nevada

Nevada has a real statute guaranteeing the opportunity to requalify, but the qualification content itself is each agency's own standard, not a single state-run course. Under NRS 202.3678, a law enforcement agency in Nevada must offer its own honorably-retired officers the chance to requalify "according to current standards for active duty [agency] officers," with a minimum qualification opportunity of at least twice per calendar year, roughly six months apart — more frequent than LEOSA's federal once-a-year floor, though that frequency describes how often the agency must offer the opportunity, not a stricter personal requalification obligation the way New Jersey's twice-a-year rule works.
